This is The Green Bin.
At home in Ontario, the Green Bin Program is well-recognized as a great composting initiative and an awesome way to grow your own family of fruit flies. I always thought that my green bin was a great metaphor for my head – where a lot of unfinished and unformed thoughts go to decay, in the hopes that something new might grow (with other, more annoying thoughts buzzing around the whole time). Hence, the name of this blog, which I use as a repository of inklings, half-complete ideas, and little niblets. These are my thoughts on and adventures through grad school, research, Canada, and life, sprinkled with a smattering of stubborn, opinionated rants.
This blog started on Tumblr, which will always have a special place in my heart. RIP “thegreenbin.tumblr.com”.
